Alfred H. Buxton started the business in the late 1940s, building residential and commercial projects. The Buxton brothers, Darrell, Gregg and Gary, grew up in the building industry, participating in the family business. They grew proficient at all aspects of construction including framing, masonry, concrete, finish and millwork, roofing, cabinetry, and blueprint design. After Alfred’s passing in 1976, the brothers continued his traditions. Over the years, the family business has flourished without compromising the standards of excellence and integrity Alfred established.

Located in Ogden, Utah, Buxton, Inc. is now owned by Darrell, his sister Susan, and son, Todd. Gregg recently retired from the business and is pursuing a political career. Gary Buxton owns Buxton Masonry, Inc., specializing in commercial masonry construction.

Darrell A. Buxton
Darrell A. Buxton is the President and General Manager of Buxton, Inc. He is involved with bids and project development, cost controls, sales and marketing, and is a professional residential designer. He has resided in North Ogden, Utah for 30+ years and has been a past president of the Weber Basin Home Builders Association (now Northern Wasatch Home Builders Association). He has served on the Board of Directors of the Utah Home Builders Association, Industry Advisory Board at Weber State University and the Advisory Board at the Ogden-Weber Applied Technology Center. He has a B.S. in Business Management from Weber State University.

Susan Buxton Allen
Susan Buxton Allen has been involved with the business since 1978. She is responsible for all financial functions, change orders, contracts, bidding. She makes sure timely decisions are made, schedules are kept, and the bills are paid. She has been involved in consulting with other builders in streamlining processes and setting up proper accounting procedures.

Todd C. Buxton
Todd C. Buxton is the third generation of Buxtons to participate in the building business. He performs General Superintendent duties. Todd is a master journeyman who has specialized in fine millwork and finish carpentry. He handles job-site scheduling, supervision of in-house crews and subcontractors.
